Being a mother is my hardest job
I had a rough day yesterday with my 9 year old! Laureen you will appreciate this. If my daughter doesn't finish her jobs (piano, homework, chores etc.) she doesn't get to play with friends or watch T.V. It was her best friends birthday party last night. We had a bad day Sunday too. So I told her if she didn't do what she was supposed to yesterday. She had to miss the party. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Her friend called after the party started to ask where she was and it broke my heart. Sometimes punishing our kids is just as hard on us. On a possitive note. It felt like it made a difference to her! Cross your fingers for me.

Oh, man, you ROCK, Kristin! That's the hardest mothering of all, but it's the best mothering of all. You just keep consistently enforcing what's already set up. WOO-WOO! Do you want a parade? Cause I'm there for you, girl. :)
way to go, what a tough decision. hang in there it will get easier!
Good for you! That must have been super hard. I totally agree with you on your decision, but I do also feel like it's not as much a punishment for them as it is for us.
