It's ridiculous to have to have your free day be Day 1 on this contest!
BUT, my Dad's 80th birthday is today. We're going to be eating out tonight as a family - my sibs and their spice (plural for spouse). I made my dad's favorite dessert this morning, and....well.....um....you see....
I licked the bowl.
So, instead of just tonight being my free meal, today became my free day! Sheesh.
BUT, I did intervals this morning, the water is coming along, and I've already had a serving of vegetables (turns out, I sort of like vegetables for breakfast - who knew?)
I think I'll go drink a V-8, BECAUSE I CAN.
So great to meet everybody last night. Except for Stacy. And Cami, Alyssa, and Jodi, I missed you. Jodi, you always make me wish that you lived in my neighborhood so we could be naughty in Relief Society (and by that, I mean, giggle a little too much on the back row)(once in a while)(honest, not all the time).
And finally, a huge pay day today. I had to go to a meeting with other piano teachers, and one of my tiniest, skinniest friends (seriously, she is like the chihuahua of human beings) went on and on about how great I am looking! Then, she had to call me about another item of business from the meeting, and she sort of just picked up where she left off! She said I looked ten years younger (we haven't seen each other since January - before any contests). Not to mention YOUR kind words, Jane, on the phone, as well. What a huge positive reinforcement when others notice your efforts.
The moral of the story: TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF PAYS OFF!!!!!
