Checking in. Just want to STOP. COUGHING. I'm ready to go. Ready to stay the course, if I'm still sick, and PUSH if I'm not. Hope everybody's learning some good healthy habits. I've learned:
Fruits and vegetables should be the star of every meal/snack. Build around THAT, and you'll get enough. If I do, I really don't crave sweets the same.
A free day and a free meal a week is gosh-a-plenty. That's PLENTY of indulgence for your body to be reminded, "See? How we don't like it when you let the tongue be in charge?" The tongue is having a total toga party, for sure, but the rest of the body is going, "Oh no!" I really, really look forward to the day/meal off, and I actually equally look forward to getting back to good whole food.
There aren't many days we can't find 20 minutes to exercise if it's a priority. To get points for it made it a BIG priority, even when I've been coughing my guts out the past two weeks. I only got 20 minutes in, and I was exhausted afterwards, but I DID IT. This is a good thing to learn.
I want to eat/exercise/LIVE in such a way in the next six weeks that I can just continue AFTER the six weeks, for the rest of my life. If it's something I can't maintain day in, day out, then what is the point?
Good luck everybody! Whether I'm voted off the island or not, I'm getting a perfect score for the next six weeks, and beyond. I made this commitment to myself FOR myself, so I'll be doing this for the long haul - hope you are too!
